Male or Female

Hi! This is my first Axolotl that I’ve owned and have read and reviewed many videos and forums and was wondering if someone could tell me if my Axi is male or female? My girls want to name it but find it hard to name without knowing the gender

i always thought the males had the swelling but the females didn't?

It also depends on the age and size of the axo. Young creatures don't normally show any differences in sexes until they become sexually mature.

My three looked identical, I never managed to sex them.
