this is an ongoing discussion i know...in Tank 1 i have 5x pepper corydora...they all look a similar size. they have never spawned. so i gather my luck is they are all female?!
In tank 2 i have 5x Pepper corydora also. 4x are bigger/rounded bellies. 1x is smaller darker in colour and i would think this one was male. They have never spawned either. i have done a couple of cool water changes..but no luck?!
What are the chances of all 10 being female??????? >@

the rounder more plump ones are usualy the females... unless the males have been down the pub and got a beer-belly

they spawn at will... even i can't get them to spawn when i try... but there's always eggs around!

is the dorsal fin of the 'boy' taller (in relation to the fish length) compared to the other peppers?

maybe the boy doesnt like any of the ladies, or bats for the other team.

been feeding live worms and doing cold water changes?

two of my female peppers have looked like they are bursting with eggs for past month or two, but no rumpy pumpy so far (i've got at least 3 boys in there)

What size are your tanks? - Dependant on tank sizes i would change around your tanks 1 & 2 and put all the corys together in one tank and move the betta and platys to the other tank....

What temperature is the cory tanks?

How old are the corys?

If you can put them in a light coloured tub for long enough to take a pic from above, we could probably tell you. The difference is quite obvious from above normally, unless by pure chance they are all indeed one gender, which would be impressive!

Ive had my pandas for about 9 months, and they've not spawned "properly" yet. Just a few random eggs here and there. Yours might be doing the same but eating them before you see them. Im pretty sure mine probably lay more than i find. Never more than 5 or so.

The anal fin on the female should be more rounded than the male which appear more pointed.
