Sorry for verbose title.
We've had a pair of Kribensis for approx 2.5 months.
In that time, they have paired, built a home and spawned twice.
Each time the fry only lasted a week - numbers gradually dwindling and then zero fry.
Now the male is outside the home area and chasing everything away including the female.
She is now on the opposite side of the tank and swimming high in the tank, he remains on guard.
Don't know what to make of this behaviour.
Is this known behaviour or is the male turned psycho/ sociopath ?
Any help appreciated as always.
Cheers

The pair tried to breed and failed 2 times. The male blamed the female and drove her out of the area. He would have tried with another female if another came into his territory but that doesn't happen in an aquarium unless you swap females. The female could have been stressed to death or died from something else, most likely stress if the pair had broken up and the male no longer liked her.
