Male German Blue Ram Chasing Female

I was just sitting watching the tank i saw my male ram being really aggressive towards pretty much any fish that came near his territory. Even the female ram. They have pared up. I just have no idea why he chasing her. She does look very fat too. Thanks in advance!

she have a red patch on her underside.. egg side just going to make sure its a female haha
now if you want the aggression to lessen and for them to breed or at least lay the eggs you'll need a cave with a nice flat bottom or a flat rock with cover of plants.

Yeah she's a female. Lol i do have caves and they did just lay eggs a couple weeks ago. But it was their first batch so it didnt go so well. He's not really chasing her anymore. Im not really sure what was going on between them but apparently its settled. i was just getting kinda worried because she looked like she was losing her color a little bit.
