Malaysian Trumpet Snails

i hate having them all over my tank. Once you get a few they start multiplying like crazy and then they are all people see in your tank. I try to keep mine under contria. and my botia seems to like a snail for breakfast

I love my trumpet snails I waited for weeks for them to start multiplying and now that they are, I'm loving it. When we went to the zoo my 5 yo noticed trumpet snails in some of their freshwater tanks. He was pretty excited. lol. When I had just MTS and regular round snails in my tank, my decorations (a rubber anemone and a fake coral) plus my anubias nana all had algae and then they were all clean, so I can only assume the snails cleaned it. Which ones, I have no idea.

I havnt seen any locally, where do you get them?

I ordered mine from someone on applesnail.net's forums. She normally sells on aquabid so you can check there. I don't know about shipping to Australia though-that might be a bit high. Maybe there are some aquabid or ebay sellers from your area that sell them.
