What I did to aerate the water was to blow bubbles into it with a pipette (not just by blowing through a straw cos the air you breathe out doesnt have so much oxygen in it). I'm not sure if that was the ebst way but it seemed to work ok. :)
 
OK if they need air I think I'll just use a small rubbermaid tub and put an airstone in it. I don't want to have to remember to swish around all those jars every day. I am also hoping that the coll. silver I got is ok for them because I want to put some of that in there.

I'm not keeping all 50, btw. Most will be going to the lfs. I might keep 2-4 per tank.
