Hi everyone,
I have got a juwel rio 180 and am looking to fill it with a mixture of different species with an average size of between 7-10 inches, I really like the Malawi cichlids but I was wondering what these could be mixed with? I was thinking maybe some species of catfish or gourami or shark? Does anybody have any other suggestions or just any info or opinions on what ive been thinking?
Thanks, Joey

This is either a wind-up :sly: or you need to research Malawi's requirements

malawi's can be mixed with any other fish.......as long as it is from lake malawi :)
hope this helps

oh really? wow thats thrown a spanner in he works, i really wanted some malawi cichlids but then i thought that i couldnt have them at all! what other fish are their from lake malawi?

well its not really a wind up? i did state that i wanted peoples opinions on what ive been thinking, im new to fish keeping, im obviously not the fish expert...

Ok, sorry but when I saw "Malawi Cichlid Help" and "different species with an average size of between 7-10 inches" in a 180, well, hardly 1 fish (forgetting a mixture)of 7" let alone 10" would be happy in that size tank!

So if you are serious about African Cichlids in a 108ltr then why not research Tanganyikans rather than Malawi's?
