I am trying to increase the salinty of my puffer tank. It currently is at 0.008. Does anyone have the figures (in grams) of marine salt needed per litre to make up salt solution at SG 0.008. I have tried searching on the web but can only find information for higher concentrations. Thanks

Depends on the brand you are using, temperature of the water, etc, etc.

Best advice is to just slowly add the salt to water that is at the same temp as the water in the tank until it is right. Make sure you let it fully dissolve before saying to yourself that it is right and throwing it into the tank (it's bad for the fish and can cause the salinity to change as well).

For me, a rough estimate is a cup of salt/5gal raises the SG .005.
