I dont know what the price of hardware is in the US but by UK standards that would be a bit pricey for second hand in my humble opinion, usually around a quarter of the price of new is as much as you would pay for second hand.

True, UK prices are much lower the the US. To me, this is how I think of it. Building ONLY the tank will run about $650 US. Cheap, not bad. Than I have to build the stand, hood, purchase heaters, power heads, lights , substrate etc

I can buy a custom made tank only for $750, I would than have to build the stand, get power ehads, substrate and such and drive 4hours each way to get it in a moving truck so $100-150 worth of gas.

So, to US standards, it seems pretty darn good. haha. Even though it has light scratches, o well.

Well if it seems a good deal to YOU then it is a good deal.

and heres something you can take pleasure in, the UK maybe cheaper for tanks and equipment but i've just found out a US seller is selling gulper catfish for $75 each, i paid the equivilent of over $500 for my one here in the UK

Is there a good site to order fish from? my LFS charges $10 per baby Mbuna. Thats a lil expensive to me. I know they recent;y upped the price. They used to be $7 or something like that.
