doesnt water always take the easiest route?... so if its harder for the water 2 go through the PO4 absorber wont it just sorta totally ignore it? if that is the case maybe.. u could use different sizes hoses for each?

yeah that's true in theory, but I don't think it's going to make any differance in this case. I'd rather have them fed from the bottom to keep the media in the water column more but I'm going to try out this way and the normal 'chained' way as well. In which case I would have the rowa-phos then the carbon then out.

I'm going to have a look at some reactors when I go out this afternoon. The thing I'm worried about is cleaning the sponges so I'm going to see how they address that.
