Erm, so, my plants arrived today and one of the things I got was java moss to put on some cholla wood. Buuuttt I don't have any fishing line or super glue that I know for sure is aquarium safe. So. Any ideas? The java moss is currently in the little cups that it came in, and I filled them halfway with tank water and floated them in the tank. I might be able to get fishing line in a couple days.

Cotton thread for sewing clothes, dental floss (plain non flavored), rubber bands (wash before use to remove any powder on them), string or nylon rope. Basically anything that is non toxic can be used to tie it onto something.

okay cool

I use sewing thread, as mentioned by Colin. It helps if there is another person to put their finger on the knot while you are tying it as sewing thread is fiddly to work with.

For awhile black zip ties for that was in fashion. I used to use twisties left over from bread wrappers to appliances. If not long enough, just twist two together. By the time they rust away, the plants should be attached. If they were wrapped green or black then as is. If they were a color? I just burn off that off over a stove. Then use the bare metal.
