hi

what is the temp of your tank i have went away for a few days and the heater jamed and killed all of my fish

If this a the 125l in your profilee, you were massivly overstocked, the yellow tang should not have been in there it needs 75 gallon, over 300 litres. The overstocking may have conributed to your levels never being perfect, weakened the fish and an eventual tank crash.

what was the total stocking before everything happened, as in your profile you only have 6 fish, did you have these 6 on top of what died?

That sucks Mattrock, as scott said could be a heater/heat problem, something dieing that you haven't seen,or contaminants getting in the water, do you keep an eye on your salinity and if so what with?(I ask because it happened when you've changed lots of water)
Although you clearly were overstocked (a bit of research into what will fit in a tank before buying stuff is always good)I'm sure the above comment will not be the reason for your deaths but rather something thats happened much more in the short term.

Do you have corals/crabs/snails in there, and are they still alive?

Are you by any chance using a nutrafin ammonia test kit, as these always show a bit of ammonia when used for SW

Yeah, as Johnny said - what test kits are you using? Think i would be tempted to take my water down to lfs and get them to check it for me :good:

Have you checked your SG hasn't crept up over time?
Have you checked heater? I had a wipeout caused by a heater
Have you checked that nobody has sprayed anything near the tank? I also had a tank wipeout when my otherhalf flea treated the dogs in the same room as the tank (stupid man)
What is still alive?

Hope you find the answer, the loss of so many fish is a real shame - sorry for your loss -_- When you have found out what has caused the problem and solved it and you start thinking about restocking, please let us help you, we enjoy it you know :good:
