Hi all, I have an Ocean rock in my 105L 60% planted tank. Been in there for 2 months, my loach loves it, however i'm seeing a lot of debris in it.

I have 2 sponge filters in the aquarium perfect parameters, but I really want to clean it. I get there's good bacteria in it, but my media and plants have their own anyway.

What would you recommend?

Most of the beneficial filter bacteria will be living in the filter media because it's dark and has lots of water flowing over it. The rock will have some beneficial bacteria but I wouldn't worry about harming it or your filter. Just take the rock outside and hose it off, then put it back in the tank.

When the rock is out, gravel clean under it.

Do about a 50% water change once a week, using your siphon to suck any gunk off the gravel, and take the rock out and scrub it clean if you don't like the way it looks. Colin is right; most of the beneficial bacteria lives in your filter or down in your gravel, and you won't hurt it by cleaning surfaces.
