I'm getting bettas in the mail....and is wondering if anyone uses or recomends using "stress coat"

my friend who works with fish says "you should definitly use it"

would she be right? ne comments ne1?

I think you can use Aquarium Salt, that is what i did when i ordered my bettas via mail, I think it does the same job.... correct me if im wrong anyone

i always use "stress coat"
if you use a good quality water conditioner it should include a "slime coat" builder which is the "stress coat"
also, a bit of aquarium salt (half dose) is good aswell
i find that the most common illnesses in betta splendids (especially after shipping) are skin related
they are delicate in the way that if their bodies are damaged in any way, they seem to contract fungus, and rot faster then any other fish i know of
the salt and extra slime coat (stress coat) will help prevent this

good luck

i dont do anything differnet to their water than i owuld to my other bettas. i take a lot more time to acclimate them though. youre talking about receiving bettas right? not sending
