Maidenhead Aquatics

I shop at MA in Morden frequently and have seen them talk themselve out of sales to people who did not have the correct set up to look after the fish. They have some experienced, knowledgable and helpful staff there, but like any shop you'll always get one or two that aren't up to scratch.
I have to say that .in all the MA stores I visit. The morden one is the best I've seen staff wise.....they really do seem to know what they are talking about and the fish there are very healthy looking.
They have several arrowanas there and they display a green with a certificate. The owner of the fish(also the fish house manager) prices all his arrowanas off the scale to ensure they are going on to a deserved home. His "green" is for show and not for sale!!

I go to the MA near Southampton, and have always found the staff to be very helpful and willing to give you advice, i have also heard them many a time refuse to sell people fish because they didn't have the right set up or the tank was too new and they had already bought fish in the last couple of weeks and would overload their filter.

i find the two Swansea MAs pretty good too. And the smaller one has a guy who specialises in rare l numbered plecs which is always good to see. And so far i've found that their staff have good knowledge too.

As I also come from Buckinghamshire , I feel I have to say that all MA shops are very different . Out of four that are within a reasonable distance to me ,only one I prefer not to use . The others are very good .Having said that I rather think that we agree on the one not to use.

Im working in the Havant branch right now, all the staff are very knowlegable, it all depends on the branch and the manager and staff, you cant say all MA stores are bad, they are all different.
I'm not employed there im just doing work experience for two weeks, its the end of my first week right now and its realy enjoyable working there :)

hmm, well my lfs advised me that i should do a fishlesss cycle but when i suggested that i would use ammonia they told me no, and that using that process for a Fc' went out in the 1950's !
