Just got a used magnum 350 on the cheap.

I would like to use both bio-max and carbon in it but there are no baskets or dividers. Anyone run into this and have a good solution. I was thinking of just using something like a cheesecloth sack or something but was wondering if there was a better solution.

thanks!

My magnum 350 biopro system that came with 2 bio wheels has a container to put inside of it to hold carbon.

Right, there is the media container that comes with it.

What I am asking though is this: I want to use bio-max AND carbon and don’t want to mix the two together. So I have to figure out how to divide the 2 within the media container.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Sorry, my misunderstanding! I thought you wanted to add both, and didn't have anywhere to put either. The only suggestion I can make from mentally picturing my container(s) if I wanted to add something, yet keep it separated, would be to purchase plastic needlepoint or crossstitch sheets, and cut to fit. They are found in the crafts depts and could probably be cut to fit, semi hard plastic so they shouldn't shove out of the way, and if needed you could probably "attach" it to the small holes in carbon container with some fishing line. I know I cut the sheets to fit around tank lid where filter and heater go in to keep my adf's from possibly jumping out.
Hope that helps.
