Made A Daft Mistake, Any Advice Appreciated...

Stupid me forgot to turn Juwel internal filler back on after doing a water change so its been off for 24 hrs. Have an external filter running all time but is there anything i need to worry about after restarting the internal filter?

I should imagine that if you have a decent external filter then you shouldnt have a problem. If the bacteria has died back slightly in the juwel filter, it will pick back up again in a while. I would just turn it back on. I run the same, an external and the Juwel, and this is what I would do.. Best thing to do on the safe side though is to do some testing over the next 24 hours or so for ammonia and nitrite.. this is the clearest way to tell if all is ok... Do you have a test kit?

Thanks Squid, thats what I thought and have test kits for everything! Ammonia and nitrite are my concern so will keep my eye out for those. Only way I noticed was a two degree drop in temperature as I unplug heater while changing water too so it had been left off. Good job i have a glass thermometer rather than just those colour change strip thermometers

Just tested, no reading of ammonia or nitrite so all appears ok. Fish just as hungry as ever
