A world of my own
Every once in a while, i put my painted turtle in the 65 gallon for a little swim. Usuallly, nothing much occurs, the fish dont bother him, and he doesnt bother them. Today however... i put him in, and he went about swimming as usual. Then, one of my platy swimmed up and NIPPED the turtle  . Anyway, the turtle turned back, and the platy ran for it. The turtle didnt bother about him, and continued having his fun.

However, the mad platy wasnt done. He double back and nipped the turtle AGAIN!!! The turtle turned back, and the platy ran again. But he still wasnt satisfied and did it several more times. Then the turtle lost patience and chased the platy around the tank, terrorisng the other fish too! So i had to take him out and put him back in his 6.5 gallon.

Mad, mad platy

:flex: ♂ Don't blame Mr. Turtle for getting mad. He just wanted a peaceful little swim. Generally platies are pretty easy-going. Don't know why yours got frisky all of a sudden, especially since the turtle had been in there before. The main problem I have with my platy is that he's a food hog.

one of my platys commited fishicide by swimming into the inlet of the filter in her tank!!!
i mean, i have heard of fish in the outlet of the filter before, but never the inlet!!
