I got a lucky shot of my Pleco. He decided to come out w/ the lights one and was on the driftwood. :)

Last rough measurement he was just about 3 1/2". He finds anyplace that the lights can't reach. I can get pictures but he just looks like part of the rocks. :/

I think he ran out of food on the bottom side of the rocks. :) He didn't look to happy about being out in light hours. ;)

Thanks JDH...

You asked where he goes? Well, you can kind of see him attached upside down to a rock in this pic hiding out the daytime. ;)

They are cool. :) By the time he gets 12" I hope to have a 6' or bigger tank that he can be in w/ other fish. :) Right now he is in a 55G 4'.

I could be wrong, but when I researched I found out it was. But all Walmart had it listed as was Plecostamaus and they had other species listed the same. :/

Do you feed him whitebait? Ours really loves it, along with prawns. Most people think they only eat veggies but believe me it`s not true and they get so happy to have meaty food.
Lovely picture of him though, he looks just like ours, Arthur.

I agree with Clare - our common absolutely loves prawns, to the point where he'll actually steal them off our fahaka puffer!!

my pleco NEVER comes out when the lights are on - he hides in a dome i have he is still very small 1.5-2" if i lookf or him when the lights are off and turn them on for a second he will dissapear instantly i dont knwo what i should feed him bcos my female ram she takes everything as soon as it hits the water she will even chase the bala shark away if he comes near the food i think she is PMSING

I have been thinking about other foods.... Right now he gets whatever the cories don't get of tubifex worms and brine shrimp that sink. ;)

cluster, mine was the same way but has become more corageous as he became bigger. Especially since he is now the biggest fish in the tank. ;)
