Well i just recently got two new males to add to my collection.(That betta bite sure was deep) One was a plakat(from an LPS!...they're idiots over there, it cost 7 dollars and at an lfs plakats cost $28). He was flaring at the others so i got him, then i saw this other guy with a light lylac over white VT so got that one aswell. So i put the Plakat in a 1g Bowl, which he is happy with.
and then i realized, i had NO WHERE to put the VT. So i quikly set up a breeders net(where you keep livebearer fry etc) which i calculated to only be 0.5gs. So i set it up in my Orange VTs tank and put the Lylac VT in there. My O-VT went up the net, gave it a "sniff" and just swam away and the Lylac didnt even notice, and they dont care about each other, at all! No flaring, no jumping, no nothing!
So im abit worried that they brainwashed him at the evil LPS.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks for tuning in

How long have you had them. They could still be getting used to their environment.

Been nearly two days now. and nothing.
The Lylac one jumped over to my Orange's side and they wernt even fighting or flaring! I put it back for safe measure though.

hey man, count yourself lucky! sounds like you have a good candidate for a community aquarium there  i bet that liliac & white VT would go lovely in an albino setup with black sand...

I'm not risking him in my community tank because just because he is peaceful, it doesnt mean my tetras are :p
and if black sand was cheaper then pool sand, i would have it it but it aint :p

Update:
I put a devider in last night so they each 5 gallons each, the O got a bit fisty for once and started flaring, but i thought nothing of it, and when i came back he was on the Ls side but they were just swimming around ignoring eachother, but i seperated them again.
SO this morning i woke up and they had swapped sides! Luckily there is no damage what so ever!
