I'm sure the question has been asked many many times, but I do have to ask anyways.
Are there any low light, low tech red plants that exists?
I'm asking because my tank HAS to be low light, considering I have low light fishies!

Thank you! :D

To be honest you'll struggle. Red plants generally require higher lighting, otherwise they slowly go back to green or die.

You can get success though with some browns (crypts have a good brown selection) and things like some of the golden leaved plants. There's a golden anubius variety you can get hold of. That'll get you some colour. Otherwise you're generally looking at different leaf textures to get the effect.

The only other reddish plant I've known do well is the red tiger lotus, although it does tend to go to the surface in lower light.

It's good to know that red tiger lotus goes to the surface as I do require a bit of surface plants. :)

I think I might be stuck without red plants.
