Loud Music And Fish Tank

Just not quite the same as good old vinyl though is it. With the cd you can beat match at the touch of a button where the vinyl you have to physically touch and time. Its a dying art

G
Haha ya can't beat match at the touch of a button with cd decks

Only advantage of having them is they cue your tunes up instantly rather than having to do it your self, uv still got to beat match!

(incase your wondering, iv been djing for about 13 years now)

I find vinyl slightly easier tbh maybe just when i'm drunk though, peter c might remember a few of
my messy events using CDJs after abit to much booze .

It's all about serato scratch live, midi controllers and USB now adays though :good:

13 years and he's still a lowbob :fun:.

having a bit of a party next week at home with a lot of guests, I had a strange thought, does loud music effect fish ? because I have a surround sound system in the same room as my tank, and yes I do play music very very loud at times. and im wondering if it makes the water vibrate so to speak and how it would effect the fish ?

effect the fish, no..

affect the fish, mose def..
HAMBONE
You know what he meant so theres no need to be a grammer nazi

Isn't there something heavily ironic about Hambone correcting someone's spelling? ;)

It's not 'grammer', it's 'grammar'. Just as, I'm sure, 'sic' is meant to be 'psych'. :p

I suppose I too am a 'grammar nazi'. The worst for me is the incorrect use of 'your' and 'you're', the use of the phrases 'could of' and 'bored of' and confusion between 'less' and 'fewer' -- you wouldn't buy 'fewer' petrol so why would you buy 'less' items -- but mostly the pernicious and wholly incorrect combination 'for free' which pervades all society (including the BBC) thanks to the American peoples' misuse of English.

I use capitals and punctuation in my text messages and eschew the use of all 'texting' abbreviations such as 'ur' for 'you are'.

However, on the OP, I play saxophone in the room wherein my small fishtank resides and the phantom tetra's seem to like it and come towards the front glass when I play -- I suppose it could be because they're trying to kill me!

(this mesage as bin cheked fer grammer and spelin mis takes)

I play guitars and drums and do a lot of mixing through monitors in my room and my fish are OK with it. Provided that they're not subject to a high sound pressure level for a long time, I imagine that they'd be fine! When I'm happy with the results I'll give it a final listen and probably reach and excess of 95-99dB, that's if you were after figures.

why you telling me?? I used the word spelled correctly, and when i dint I put the (sic) after it to point it out, like I am supposed to..

do a google fer sic, yo..

I'm making you my friend..

'Sic' is only really used in editorial material which this isn't, and contained within square brackets; thus (see what I did there? A 'sic' joke ;) ) the slang 'psych' term would've been more appropriate. :good:
