Lots Of Photos Of My 3 Bettas!

Here are my 3 bettas! The red/white one is Sweeney and the blue/white one is Mad Hatter. The female is Strawberry. The males came from PETCO. The female was a walmart fish. I only put the female in the tank for a photo op that lasted a minute too long. She has a piece missing out her tail now and looks like a DT.

You can barely see my baby albino BN on the left side of the tank.

They're so flashy I had to link you guys to most of them!

Lovely fish and a great tank set-up too! You PETCO and Walmart always havesuch great fish with lovely tail types.

Reading your other thread, im sure you now know that a male and female betta can never be kept together in the same tank, unless you have prepared them for breeding.

Also, i would say invest in an Algea Magnet Scraper. It cleans tanks perfectly! and is a good investment too.

Yep, I was hoping I could keep the female with him for about a day just so she's not stuck in her plastic container! Such a boring life! But I'm sure being bored another month is better than being dead.

Thanks! The walmart here just recently started carrying some pretty neat bettas. Definitely not as beautiful as those on aquabid, but more unique than they've had in the past. They still carry only veil tail and crown, but they now have yellows and several marbled "mutts". Strawberry was less than $5 and I've yet to see them with another spotted female or male. I think I got off lucky. And PETCO carries a lot of exotic looking ones, but I can't buy them all. They have all the varieties, but I can only keep so many males!

I have a magnetic algae scraper I just used for the first time a couple days ago. I got most of it off, but right near the divider I can't scrape well (as seen in most photos) My divider is not permanently attached in my tank. It's being hoisted by the weight of the lid, suction cups, and the gravel. I didn't want to mess with it during the cleaning. Most of that algae is a couple days worth of growth only too. My BN tries, but that kind on the glass is a devil to remove.

How big will the albino plec grow?

He's supposed to get about 6 inches so he won't be living in the tank his whole life obviously. So far he's growing at a pretty slow rate so he may be in the tank for another 6 months at least. We will see.

i love your female! i'd love to get another Dalmation betta. i had one years ago, and my Zachy was my best friend. X3 your males have such pretty finnage, too. <3 how big is your tank? if it's 10 gallons or more, you could divide it three ways, for all of them. <3

Is that what my female is, a dalmation? I actually got her from walmart! Saw her one day then came back another and she was still there and impulsively bought her. She lives with guppies now and she's mean as a snake to them!

My tank is actually only 5.5 gallons. So I can't split it anymore. The female is in a community 10 gallon now though and her tail is regrowing after my male bit a third of it off. D:

I had a tank with a female and male seperated, and I put too much water, the male got in with the female and beat the male up, not the other way around.

Oh- very nice! One thing,though... I noticed that you may have algae on your tank. An Algae Magnit Scraper is a great thing for that problem...
