Lost Both My Male Bettas Now :(

Had scar in temp tank cos casper died and i wanted to completely re do the tank before putting scar back into it
woke up this morning to find scar dead on the floor i think my dog must have got him cos he was a bit chewed and there was water everywhere --- why o why did i put him in there

That's quite a bit of bad luck you've had. Were they the only bettas you had?

oh my thats terrible im sorry your dog got to him

i remember my fiancee' calling me to tell me my cat was batting around my tiger barb on the floor...he was already dead

have you managed to figure out what caused Caspers death?

In fairness to your dog, Scar may have jumped out of the tank first? Sorry about your fish.

So sorry to hear of another loss Hun, i haven't had much look with my other fish recently, but thankfully my bettas seem unaffected

The water was only 5 " deep in a 10 " deep storage box so i dont think Scar jumped out , though he may well have done

I still have my female bettas - but i'm not being put off getting another 2 males , i have my DTHM (green or mustard gas) on order and will pick up another male from a lfs somewhere

The tanks been redone so it will now only house 2 males to give them more room , there's still shrimp in there and have put a few of my rice fish in one section to keep the filter cycled

Still have no clue what happened to poor Casper

You would be suprised by how high they jump. I caught my PK jumping round the top of his 3ft tank today for no reason! i was horrified that he may jump out.
