Losing 11 Fish In A Month!!

sorry about your losses :(
are you using a dechlorinator (+ chloramine) remover with your water changes??
its really frustrating when fish die for no apparent reason we've had a similar experience with danios..supposedly v hardy fish.......could it be some sort of virus??? sorry i cant be more help. :(

:-( :-(

I've lost:
3 male guppies
3 female guppies
1 balloon molly
3 marble mollies
1 black molly
1 dalmatian molly
3 platies

I used to add Stress Coat into the new water (it removes clorine, neutralizes chloramines and deyoxifies heavy metals) but someone that I know (he's a fish expert) informed me that I don't need to use that because my water comes from a well.

Sasha I am very sorry to hear about this. I know you have answered many of my questions for me and I just hate this. If I were you I wouldn't listen to whoever told you not to use stress coat when doing water changes. Even though you are pulling from a well, it is better to be save than sorry. I mean the stuff isn't expensive and you only use a few teaspoons. Besides it isn't just to dechlorinate the water, it also gives the fish back their slime layer that they lose when being stressed. That could be a reason why they are dying. Sounds to me like it is either an issue with your water (not using stress coat), or that you have some kind of disease in your tank. Good luck and hope you don't lose anymore.

Brad

Maybe there is some kind of disease in your water. You coudl try doing a huge water change, or if all your fish die just start from scratch.
