first new tank, been running 4 weeks now stocked with guppies and neons etc etc, used established media to aid cylcle

was cleaning outside glass on tank and saw what looks like mould on the inside of tank, kinda looks like the moluld that appears on bread, spots here and there etc

is this algae?

does that mean my tank is cycled?

So, is this green in appearance? If so, algae is just a sign of high nitrATEs and at times, too much light.

I would monitor your tank parameters. 4 weeks maybe too short of a time to have so many fish. Once a tank has been cycled, you should add about 10%-20% of fish that your tank can support, and then wait a few weeks or so to make sure your tank stablizes properly.

tankwise things couldnt be any better, the fish look healthy and very happy, guppies are pregnant, one must be about to drop as we speak, shes huge

the light is on at nightimes

time for a algae eater??
my missis says a stergeon??? spelling wrong lol, it sticks to side of tank she says

or should i add a few live plants? may be handy for the fry to hide in

ill do a 20 percent water change to help reduce nitrates, so does this mean as im producing a nitrates that my cycle is well on its way?

the light is on at nightimes

So there's constant light? If so, that's too much. You should keep the lights on about 10 hours. Fish won't like it...They have no eyelids LOL

no sorry sholuld of said when ment nightimes i ment between hours of 6pm and maybe 12pm so 6hrs maybe
