Hi,

Not actually sure what my LFS has yet and I haven't even got any fish yet as my tank is still cycling.

My original stocking plan was:
6 cory Metae (grow to 5cm)
6-10 Cardinal Tetras

I've got a planted tank. 19 uk gallons (22 us gallons). 30 inches long. I now have snails and am not a fan and although I always dismissed loaches (that was because i thought they were ugly) I've been recommended Botia Striata. I've looked these up and I like them a lot. They are of the smaller loaches it seems. I also found Queen loach...grows to 2 inches. Also nice looking.

Are there any other small loaches that eat snails?

Would any of these loaches be suitable for the setup above? Could I add 2-3 of the smaller loaches without having to give up my corys?

I really want my corys :)

I think you have enough room for a couple of small loaches, most loaches eat snails. One to definitely avoid though is Botia horae, the Skunk Botia. It is a little one but it has a hell of an attitude problem - very aggressive for it's size and tends to hate Corys, will take their eyes out.

i have found botia macracanthus and synodontis multipunctatus to be the best snail eaters ever! they shouldn't bother your corys. good luck.

They're both probably too big. The clown loaches are def too big for my tank.
