Not really new to the hobby just looking for a restart. I have a 10 gallon and 30 gallon tank. I raised guppies for over a yearr with those tanks and have someone who wants to buy all my guppies that I have. So I am looking for advice on what to do with the 2 tanks. Like what fish for each one. It can be simple cheap fish or exotic ones I am honestly open just looking for some input.

You can probably use the 30G tank as a heavily planted tank. 30G is enough for a variety of plants.
You can keep quite a bit of tetras in your 30G tank too. Tetras in planted tank = eyecandy (in my opinion...)
Tetras are quite cheap and common.
A 10G tank can be used as a quaratine/hospital tank. Just in case you have a fish that caught some sort of bacteria/disease.

Another idea is keep some gouramis in the 30G tank, they look really nice. Especially if the tank is heavily planted too.
10G tank as hospital tank again.

Just my opinions

Danios, especially long finned are easy and active fish to keep (for the bigger tank) :good:

Get a couple of butterfly Plecos, they grow to about 1.8-2 inchs and they are pretty cool, not to mention the keep the glass clean.

Not all suggested fish can be put together...just listing some interesting fish that I personally enjoy

30 Gallon:
Celebes Rainbow (the males have interesting fins)
Gourami's
Brilliant Rasboras
Apistogrammas
Keyhole Cichlid (can only really do one or a mated pair in a 30 gallon though)
Barb Tank (species only tank)

10 Gallon:
Hospital/Quarantine tank (good idea, but if you really want something else to put in there...)
African Shelldweller cichlids (species only tank)
Endlers
Dwarf Puffers (species only tank)
Cherry Shrimp
Pygmy Cories

I have thought about getting neon tetras to start in the 30 gallon since they were a childhood favorite of mine. How many of those should I keep, I know at least 5-6 since they school. What fish go best with them in a tank my size.

Sub tropical tank with white cloud mountain minnows and hillstream loaches
An interesting project if you want to get it right, and very rewarding.....
