hi, I have noticed that the heater (200w) in my 75gallon tank seems a little bit under powered. it seems that the tempreture is not consistent throughout teh tank.

I would like to either add another heater, reposition the current one or replace the current one.

At the moemnt, purefly for aesthetic reasons, its in the corner verticaly, the temp dial about half an inch under the water. Is this a good place?

Should I add another heater?

If so, which one?

Thanks for any help,

Pete.

I'd put two 150watt heaters in there. Might as well start with new ones if that 200watt you have seems to be having trouble. that 200watt should be big enough to keep that tank stable unless your room temperature jumps up and down. maybe it's starting to go. how old is it? what brand/type?
