i'm looking for a new tank and i have stumbled across this add?. once i read it i thought it seem quite over stocked am i right?

here is part of the add.

THREE LARGE OSCARS - TWO CATFISH SHARKS - FIVE LARGE SILVER SHARKS - A LARGE PLEC - TWO LARGE EARTHMOVERS - AND A SMALL SPIKEY CATFISH

THE TANK MEASURES 6 FOOT X 2 FOOT X 2 FOOT
i could be wrong but that seems like a lot of big fish.

I would say thats overstocked (in the long run), as well as having compatability issues.

3 oscars isn't really a good number, if 2 pair off they would harass the other and if you have males they probably won't get along.

The 'shark catfish' are probably columbian sharks requiring brackish water (and I think full seawater for adults) and can grow big.

The silver sharks will probably be ok in that tank, its alot better than they normally get.

The plec is probably a common/sailfin, so arguably they can grow too big.

Depends on the type of earth eaters

The 'small spikey catfish' I have no clue really, too generalised.

Its not the best stocking I've seen, but not the worst in adds.

I would leave the tank alone, rehoming some of these fish could be a major problem.

yeah thats kinda what i thought, take all the home and i think your going to run into problems some where along the lines
