I saw these in lfs on sunday but the main puffer man wasnt there. Has anyone ever had one, they are fresh water and come from singapore and seemed fairly aggressive. They looked a bit like twinspot puffers but with an upturned mouth.
I love Fishstores completely made up names for fish
"upturned mouth" sounds like it could be either:
Monotrete Baileyi (Tetraodon Baileyi)
Monotrete Palembangensis
Monotrete Suvattii (Tetraodon Suvattii)
or
Tetraodon miurus
all of which dont play well with others and are freshwater Puffers.
He said upturned mouth though, and that doesnt really look like an upturned mouth, where the Congo etc do have them as does Miurus...
I would agree with M. cambodgiensis/barbatus. I bought one this weekend.
Jelly has Photos as do I, hes offline now, i don't want to post photos of his fish and spoil his thread/thunder so you will have to wait until he posts tonight......I would agree with M. cambodgiensis/barbatus. I bought one this weekend.
