wierd, most of those places is where my dad is called out to!

I live out on the Kent coast, quiet little Herne Bay...so it was a bit of a shock when I got off my train last night to find several large police vans and police car by the exit! Rarely see police in my area at all! I guess they must have heard news of possible rioters on there way down. I know they already got as far as Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham the other day...which in on our train line.

My daughter lives nr Catford and has been like a prisoner all this week, too scared to venture out anywhere with her two under 5s. All her local shops had been looted/set fire to or were boarded up (her fiancee saw it on his way to work). Her friend came to visit her last night and was heartbroken because when she and her hubby had returned from work they found their house had been broken into and completely looted of everything. Not even a chair to sit on. Just completely bare rooms! These are the sort of things that are not even mentioned in the Press. Another of her friends was knocked over and hurt by a hoodie on a moped (a gang of them on mopeds were riding up on the pavements, smashing windows and grabbing stuff). Anyway, when she reported it to the police they said she would be fined for wasting police time...

Anyway, let's hope that things are much quieter now and eventually it will all stop.
