Lobster Question

as a layperson, my definition of a blue lobster is "blue, two claws, not a crab, bigger than a shrimp." this is a definition as taught to me by the LFS  i'm sure you get my point.

Easy definition is all lobsters are saltwater, all crayfish (crawdads, crawfish, mudbugs, yabbies, etc) are freshwater. There is always going to be confusion on this though and of course what are brackish water cray/lobsters defined as? :p

When I go to a LFS and ask for a certain sex of crayfish, they always look at me dumbfounded. Been interesting to show them each time how to tell, they always go ahhhh. Its been refreshing over the years to feel I know more than most of them. The most annoying thing is going to a pet store, and some young kid who you know can't know much about the hobby trys to explain something to you, like you can't put bettas together with other fish cause they'll eat them all as an example. I just chuckle and look at the dogs.
