I got a blue lobster (electric blue lobster/crayfish, whatever) a couple days ago and it has a ton of tiny, brownish 'eggs' (I assume) hanging under it's tail. The lobster is barely 2 inches big. Are the eggs just going to end up caviar for the fish?

I would assume if they are eggs, and if fertilised, they shouldnt be fish food as the lobster will keep a beady eye on the eggs. I thought they only shook the eggs off for hatching (i could be wrong)

Also, watch your lobster, if he's in a community tank, he will eat the inhabitants! i had one years ago (was told theyre communal  )

also, they like to escape! one of mine (lord knows how) got out of the tank, and was wandering around the lounge, much to my mom's disapproval

i had to try and scoop him into a glass as he kept attacking me!!

point is, theyre fiesty, and will do their utmost to protect themselves

Its very small for a breeding female. but it would be easer if you could post a picture, for id purposes. the chances are all the eggs, if fertile, will hatch. between any fish you have and the other little cray, most will end up food. if you want to keep them they need moved into another tank, as soon as the are free from mum.
