Loaches suitable for a small tank of 20 to 25L? single/pair or largr group?
I have a snail problem and the silly assassin snails aint doin much lol

I can't think of any loaches, but have you tried alternatives? I had a snail problem in my 60l tank, and so basically just kept removing the snails every single day. And eventually they all disappeared.

well as you know, i also had a snail infestation in both my tanks, just start fasting the fish for 1 day a week and you will see the difference, or just get assassin snails.
:)

If you really want a loach, look into Batik Loaches... they are harder to find, but prefer to live alone, don't exceed 3 inches and love their snails! Hilarious little guys, not to mention very pretty!

All you need is a lettuce leaf

weigh it down in the tank overnight and when the light come on in the morning the lettuce will be covered in snails
simply remove the lettuce leaf and repeat until the snails are all gone

Ive tried that it didnt work

Starve the fish for 4 or 5 days, remove every snail you see during that time, and let the assassins get the rest, when you do start feeding the fish again feed them less.. a 25 litre tank is too small for most loaches

The fish (Barbs) control them in my case. I watch them take the baby ones. They will nearly clear them out if hungry.
