I would like a couple of loaches for my 80l tank so need something tht wont grow to big and are good in community tanks with other pieceful fish. Any1 got any ideas? I love clown loaches but read there really quite sensitive

if you go on to this site then go to loaches and find the one named Zebra Loach I think you have found a good fish. It doesn't outgrow your tank your can keep 3-4 easily and aren't as sensitive as the clowns. They look good too!!

I think you're better off with Dwarf/Chain loaches in that tank. then you get 4 so that you can see them acting more naturally

what kind of fish do you have? Yoyo loches may be a good pic. I have two myself.

clown loaches are very friendly and a bit shy at times

Your tank is only 20 gallons - so I'd stick with dwarf chained loaches (Botia sidthimunki) or kuhlies. Zebra would also work but can be a little nippy. All these loaches do best in gorups of 4 or more so keep their adult sizes in mind.

Dwarf loaches are nice loaches, but I've had a heck of a time finding any around me. Black Khuli loaches/Java Loach are another option. I've heard that they stay out more in the daytime than the regular "banded" khulis so I don't think they'd hide so much. I am considering getting some for my tank once it's cycled.

I think Dwarf/Chain loaches are beautiful and I was gonna get a group in my tank but then I ran out of room, and I'm overstocked now due to rehoming, so I'llhave to wait,

(defo gonna get them eventually, so I can watch them rid the pest snails)

I have had no problems with Zebra loaches being nippy. I have a nice group of 5 and they are very awesome fish!
