Loaches With Personality

I would love to get some Dojo loaches but they get to be around 10 inches, which takes up most of the space in my tank, even if I were to waive the gallon-per-inch rule.

Ive got Rosey barbs,Bounes aires tetras boesmanii rainbows and 3 skunk botias in my 38 gallon and they chased everything for around 3-4 days then they settled down reaaly well and sort of ''Playfight'' with each other, also they make great clicking sounds, they are only small at the momentabout 1.5 inches but they are great fun to watch!

I'm sorry to tell you, that while they are small they are good tankmates; however once they reach 2.5"+ they will turn into the spawn of satan and destroy and and all other fishes fins.
my advice is to start thinking of a species only tank for the skunks, or start looing to re-home them elsewhere.

I have 3 botia striata (zebra loach) with cories and gouramis (only 1 gourami now) and guppies. I haven't had a single problem with my botia and I've never seen them have a go at any fish. Although they do chase one another occassionally. Great fish, highly recommend them.

I have some Botia Kubotai and they are absolutely gorgeous ! I also have some black and striped Kuhli's and they are lovely too  All of them ultra sociable and fab community tank fish - very active and interesting to watch.
