I have the chance to buy some fiji liverock cheap from someone I found in an ad. I want to add it to my already running tank but she said the rock isint fully cycled.my question is..should Ijust add it to the tank and let my tank cycle it?..what are some precautions I should take?..thanx

The risk you run is spiking ammonia in your tank and killing things. IF there is dead stuff all over it (smells bad), I would say NO, do not add it to your tank. If your tank is still cycling, you could do it, but id qt it and let it cure properly. Other option buy cured. There are a couple good DIY on curing. Takes a long time.

Lots of your questions about how can be answered by someone who already asked =) Check this link Out.

LINK!

That is just my two cents.

Does your tank already have fish in it? If so its not the best idea. If your tank is still cycling then go ahead and add it, the only down side would be your rock may take a little longer to finish its cycle.
