Has anyone ever ordered live rock online and had it delivered? How does it turn out? I know it will be uncured but that is ok as this will be a brand new tank needing to cycle anyway.

I have ordered from http://live-rock.co.uk/home.php, rock was excellent.

I am in the US so that wouldn't work for me. I think shipping would take too long!

But otherwise you were fairly happy with the rock after it was shipped?

lol, yeah shipping might be difficult.

I was very pleased with my rock, and like you it was going in a new setup so a bit of die off was ok.

The live rock wont usually be uncured unless you buy it that way, my sister Trod did buy uncured live rock on line and it was fine, just very

Most of the live rock you buy will be cured but just have die off from being out of the water, however you can buy rock that is transported within 24 hours, will still give you die off however. Look for a reefer breaking down a tank, by far the best way of getting rock

I got some great pieces from a reefer breaking down a 1500ltr tank, (which must have been beutiful when running) got it for £4.00 a kilo, 1/3 of the price of lfs.

good luck

Around here people still want $8 or 9$ a pound when they break down tanks. Most of the time you don't find people willing to break apart tanks. They want it all gone at once. I keep looking hoping to get luck though!
