Ok in order to solve the feeding problem I'm going to lower the salinity (which the toadfish can handle) and feed him cheaper things like goldfish or minnows. BUT, my problem is also in the tank there is a hermit crab (which is going to have to go out, can't survive in brackish), and a couple pounds of live rock, so my question is what is the lowest salinity I can bring the live rock to before the micro organisms start to die? If it want survive in brackish I'd rather get rid of it and buy base rock rather than kill valuable micro-organisms.
