Live Rock Curing Tank Setup!

Ok I have now placed the 3 pieces of cured LR in my........er!.. tank.
Salinity is now at 1.023 and temp is at 24 so hopefully, now that I've added some food I can watch it over the next few weeks.
Will leave it well alone now for a few days and will do a quick test beginning of next week.

Better get my torch ready with some red film.......if it's worth it!

God, this sounds like a journel. (don't worry, I won't ) lol

My favourite bit is the ye olde worlde white (dirty cream) YK plug  . Has it got that brown fabric coated cable attached? I have a phone you can have that would match that plug, made of Bakelite.

Mate you're going to be rock watching for a good few evenings, I confess to having sat by my bath of rock every evening with a cuppa gazing in.

Lol that plug is off my dads old jigsaw that ain't worked for years so thought I'd snip it off and use it for myself.
Looking forward to rock watching. Late last night I went up to my garage to have a look and there's a tiny little green stalk about 5 mm long sticking out one of the rocks. Exciting! Lol

Now have these tiny little green stalks which seem to be trying to open at the end.

Will try and get a pic but I dont think my cam will pic them up.

Water is starting to smell..........differently?.....and now have a positive reading for Ammonia [0.1 - 0.2]..
I'll take that as the curing process starting!..........
