Probably not a good idea - remember, Triops are predators. One day you'd come back to the tank to find no Goldfish and a BIG Triops !

Its about goldfish, but it will still apply to tropical.

As I said I hasn't planned to put them in but was just wondering! I actually like having them in separate tanks anyway as I get to see more of them this way and I think it's safer!

red devil~ You've inspired me to try culturing daphnia ...again (round three). I just went and bought a culture I hope it works. I had to drive all the way across the city to buy it, so I bought two and gave one to my lfs owner. I know he has tons of green ponds at home and I'd like him to start growing these so he can supply me in the future, provided mine fail miserably again
