Fish Crazy
Well, my fish momma instincts kicked in again, and now I've managed to come home with a beautiful little female betta! She's about 1.5" max with a lovely purple sheen (and the darkest stress marks I've ever seen!), and has gotten much more active for the short amount of time I've had her. She's currently in my snail-infested 10gal quarantine tank (she quite enjoys pecking each and every one of the little pests), but I'm hoping to divide my actual betta tank (currently occupied by the most gluttonous betta I've had) to see if she can stay in there. Either way, it's an improvement from the iced coffee cup she was previously inhabiting!
I almost stuck her in my 75gal completely forgetting about the 7 gouramis in there! Glad I avoided that disaster! Though she's not really eating or interested in eating yet, I think she'll be alright for a bit, considering she's quite bloated. I'm worried that she won't really get an appetite though, and I'll have to resort some sort of garlic soak for her pellets to whet her appetite
Anyways, I hope I can get some pictures of "WiggleButt" up soon! She might be the most stunning female betta I've seen (in pet stores, of course. You guys always seem to have way more luck ending up with absolutely stunning bettas!)
