My LFS has a refugium that is HUGE. It is planted with different strains of caulerpa. Very nice actually.
At any rate, I get some new feather caulerpa and planted it in my tank last evening. This morning I get up and there is caulerpa everywhere all over the tank. It seems my Coral Beauty had a caulerpa party last night and just picked, pulled, ate, and scattered it all over.
I have never had a CB do this kind of thing! Gently nibble the algae, yes, but a CB with an appetite for destruction is another thing.
She leaves the grape and strap alone, but acted like a cat with catnip over the feather.
Anyone ever see this behavior in their CB?
