I have some Cory fish fry. Only day and half old :)

I bought some liquifry from the shop yesterday, and now have them set up in their own tank with filter heater etc. I put some liquifry in this morning as I read for the first day they live off the egg sacs, but there wasn't any more sacs left!!

My question is, how long do I feed them on liquifry for, then do I need to get microworms as I don't like the idea of them, they creep me out!!! haha! Or can I go straight to finely crushed flake? If not how long on microworms until I can swap over?

Thanks guys!

Once the egg sack is absorbed there are many food to try, microworm is a good first foods as is banana worm but if you dont like the thought of using and keeping then you could always try things like... decapsulated brine shrimp, finely crushed tetra prima or as youve mentioned finely crushed flake. A good high protein food while young is far better an option while still very young so the tetra prima or decap brine would be far better than flake but there is also things like BBS (baby brine shrimp) which most of the time can be brought live from LFS.

Basically try which suits you best and what works for you best, some people will have better results than others with the same foods, so trial and error is often the best method :good: .

The only fry food my lfs had was liquifry or grow your on baby brine shrimps. I haven't got the facilities to grow them as need a filter and place to do it, but he doesn't have any other options!
with micro-worms it just worries me as it says they will keep 'reproducing' and you will have some to last months! I only want a few haha!!!
I want to give the best food possible for the little guys!
Thanks for the help!

You could try 'TetraMin Baby'. I used this in conjunction with Micro Worms and Walter Worms. When they got a little bigger i crushed all the adult food i use, Tetra(Tabimin, Prima and Pro)mixed them all with the baby and fed them that.

all you need for hatching
brine shrimp is aquarium salt
brine shrimp eggs a demijohn
air line air stone air pump and somewhere
warm to stand the demijohn
i usually stand the bottle
on top of my tank or near a wall heater
