ive got this on my comp, should i delete it?, used it sometimes, not a lot and found it good, but anyway whats this itunes 1, thanks.

itunes is the ipod transfer program, but its just an information collection system! try running it on a none internet pc, if you can. can do good music rips though. lol apples software is as bad as their ipods. badly made and unreliable.

Yeah, i wouldn't touch an iPod with a 10 foot stick. iTunes also deleted all of my music when i had it, and I know others who have shared this experience. Although iTunes is user-friendly. I use windows media player 11 right now and sonicstage for my sony mp3 player. Sonicstage is the single worst piece of software when it comes to being user-friendly.
Right not the only music i buy online is from unsigned artists from cd-freedom, purely because there is no drm. I may start downloading music from the zune music store when i buy my zune, but i still prefer ripping CD's.

I do not agree - apple has actually done wonders for Microsoft if it wasn't for them you probably wouldn't be using the elaborate new windows media player which actually mimics itunes's sidebar design. Apple's simply caused Microsoft to up their game but it's too little to late.

Even when I was hacking I never was dumb enough to d/l limewire. Pretty much everyone has it, but its retarded. I stick with legal things..

i use it, but not that often, think it will be a fair few years before anyone come chasing me for the odd single here and there.

oine thing tio add, does anyone else HATE itunes? what a load of crap i find it, does what it wants not what you tell it to do, wish my shuffle w2as just drag and drop without that horrible software

I guess i could do without it though, I'll miss it. You wouldn't happen to know if its going to be illegal to use limewire here, and when they are going to start prosecuting for illegal downloads in the UK?

It will be soon, it's a matter of when not if and i think the main issue the police are having is that most people either use limewire to distribute music and even full length movies such as Casino Royale downloaded 100, 000 times in the first weekend and there's a lot of people who use limewire so that's a lot of people to prosecute all at once.

They're probably gathering evidence against people as we speak.

limewire is one of the last places a film gets to when its put up for download.

release groups dont use that crap. Newsgroups on IRC and Bittorrent sites is where they should be looking.

isohunt which is a popular torrent search engine was closed by its host and they jus moved to some servers in canada so even if the police do stop it, people will jus find a new way.

they did it with napster yet here we are again.


i use itunes for my ipod and it all works fine but i can easily download albums of the same quality with all the artwork and movies hit there in DVD quality a hell of a long time before they get to itunes.


theres DVDscreeners of casino royale, last king of scotland and blood diamonds to name a few and i dont think theyll be out on itunes for a while.



the industry needs to wise up.

stop making up pay stupid prices (£25 for a HDDVD) and stop making us wait months before they release DVDs and TV series.

IF you are using a Macintosh computer fear not as with most things macintosh's are way cooler and can go 8undecteted as with Virus' that attack PC's mac's are immune to these and the police intercepting limewire's server information

I'm still waiting for an explanation of this...

How is iTunes not free? Just download from Apple's web site.

Of course, the music isn't free, but then it shouldn't be. It's someone's intellectual property and they deserve to be paid for it. I make a living by selling my intellectual property -- stuff I write for magazines and web sites -- and when people copy those things illegally, they're stealing from me. Not just taking my work, but also my potential to sell that work. I'm sure musicians feel the same way.

when they start to have more reasonable prices then i imagine more people would buy music rather than downloading.

i totally agree however some bands/musicians do work for the money they make touring signing autographs they spend hours on end in studios and see there family very little they deserve it however footballers are a complete joke

and what really annoys me is they sit with millions in the bank and then go to some poor country and work in a childrens home or something for the day get the publicity and go home.


i think it would be alot better if they didnt go and gave up some of that cash!
