Lightning, Fish Only Tank

What type of lighting is recommended for a 90 gallon tank, live rock/sand and fish, not a reef tank. I am in the process of purchasing the parts I need.

if its fish only with liverock then any lights you want to behonest. the liverock and fish will not require any special lighting.

ahh ok, thank you. any suggestions of good quaility lighting that will not break the bank?

Standard T8 tubes will suffice.

Try and get 2 or 3 and then use one of the tubes as an actinic to enhance the colours on the liverock and fish.


The other tubes should be marine designed T8 tubes.

I got 2 'zoomed' T8 tubes to fit my tank. They do a white and a Actinic for about £30 pair.
