have a 135 Gallon (72",18",24")

And I need to find the proper lights for my tank.

I am going to get either 1 or 2, not sure yet 36" triple or double T8 Light Strips.

Not sure how much lighting I need and what type, the plants I am going to put in need alot of light, and are hard to mantain the site says.

here is what I have found..

Just so many diffrent types of blubs not sure which ones to get really.

I herd you need 2watts for every 1 gallon, so that would be 270 watts, and alot of those lamps are like 20-30 watts.

The link 404's for me.

2W per gallon is generally regarded as a minimum for average plants, not enough for high light demanding species like Cabombas for example that need 3.5 - 4W per gallon. That said, the "rule" is not a hard and fast rule - i.e. the curve is not linear with tank size - it is one of these "rules" coined to help newbies who tend to have relatively small tanks. Thus, you need less in larger tanks.

I had three 6´x2´x2´ set up for plants and basically the hoods were almost completely filled with tubes of different types and spectrums.

What kind of plants did you have in mind?

I wanted to get plants that had color instead of GREEN :p

not sure if I need 2 Triple Tube 36" or 2 Double Tube 36"

Well im not the smartest but i was talkin to someone with a 110 ans he has 2 double tube lights and they seem to make his fish happy and the plants happier i take care of the tank theres KOI in it and they smaller, the plants have grown about 4 inches in the past 3 weeks since he got the lights well good luck

Many "coloured" plants will turn green in lower lighting - it is the very bright lighting that allows them to produce less chlorophyll and enable the reds and browns of the flavinoids and other pigments to show up.
