My tank Is 48x18x12 and has quite a few plants in that are very healthy and seem to be growing alright
I have one 36" 30watt and is a t8 (25mm) if I remember correctly
The bulb is a tropical daylight
I was wondering how long should my light be on for per day and if it is the correct bulb, wattage, length etc?

Your plants will tell you if its ok or not, so long as they are growing and healthy it should be fine. Photo periods are norm 8-10 hours max in planted set ups. :)

Cool cheers mate
One plant snapped off the other day and it started to root again already
I'm guna buy a plug in timer and set it for 8hours
And thinking of introducing a Hagen co2 yeast setup too

Tank is too small for that mate, go with pressurised or look in the diy co2 thread at the top of the ferts,co2,flow & lighting section for the 2L bottles version. :)

Yeah been looking
Going for bottle version
Could I defuse it with a regular air stone?
Great help mate

Was thinking of using a few smaller airstones spread evenly in the tank to keep co2 levels even

So long as you have good flow only one diffuser is needed mate, I'd go with any diffuser that doesn't require high working pressure. :)

Ah right
Going for a 2litre bottle, with a small airstone for now
See how it works,
My filter Is a fluval u4 with the agitation on, so plenty flow and air

Take the airation off as it will loose CO2. ;)
