Hi, I would like anyone with a planted moss tank to go over their lighting regime with me please. I am specifically interested in Lighting types (T8 or T5 etc.? size, Wattage, etc?), and length of photoperiod. If you know the Wattage Per Litre, could you include that too please? I would be very greatful for your help.

Many thanks from Bill.

i would think that mosses are pretty tolerant no matter what the lighting/photoperiod/etc. i may be wrong and someone please correct me, but thats why they are so great. grow very easily with no "real" requirements.
again, someone may come and correct me. one of the best "easy" plants to grow.
cheers

Mosses are no way fussy in any sense apart from keeping it clean. Therefore it's a good idea to keep shrimps in moss tanks so that they can clear the moss of un-eaten food and detritus.
A tank with one t8 bulb could happily grow most moss species. With increased lighting (two t8s or one t5), then growth will increase but you might need to step up the nutrients and CO2. Even with low lighting you can still dose Easycarbo to achieve faster growth.

A good amount of flow will also help to produce quicker growth and healthier looking plants.
